In Private Testing Now
What's coming to Burg's Eye View
The investigations on the home page are the first public pieces of a much larger project, already built and running in private testing. Here's what it tracks.
Alerts for your address
Sign up and be notified when something new happens around your home: a variance request on your block, a development case around the corner, a council item about your neighborhood. The process should find you, not the other way around.
Development, on a map
Every case before the Development Review Commission, mapped citywide: rezonings, site plans, and variance requests, each with its own page. When the website goes live, get personalized updates for developments close to your home: an easy-to-read alert covering zoning changes, variance requests, and more.
Every council meeting, broken down
Each City Council meeting turned into a readable breakdown: what was decided, in plain language, with every vote on the record, member by member. Committees get digests too.
City meetings, on your calendar
A week-by-week view of what's coming up across the council, committees, and boards, with agendas digested before the meeting happens. Subscribe to the topics you care about and get alerts ahead of the votes: our AI system learns the type of information you want, and when a city agenda mentions it, you'll receive a notice.
The Taxpayer's Tab
The city's spending, explorable. Each month, we will request transactions from the city and add them to an ongoing database for you to explore: every transaction searchable, every department comparable.
Records Watch
As taxpayers, we should have easy and ample access to the records of how our city operates: expenditures, correspondence, and more. We will request records on a regular basis, and every request is tracked in the open: what was asked, when, what the city said, and how long it took. When the city puts up a barrier, the public can see what the city is withholding.
